Local Museum Bad Oldesloe

The local museum emerged from the private collection of pharmacists Wolfgang Sonder.
The section pre- and early history shows items from Paleolithic Age settlements of the Hamburger and Ahrensburger level. The found material of the Mesolithic Age middle stone aged 'Oldesloer level' and the Neolithic period settlement near Wolkenwehe in the Brennermoor deserve a special mention. From the stock of stone-axes from the younger Stone Age a typological range is bein g presented. Bronze aged finds, iron aged urns and items, Slavic shards and finds from the Limes Saxoniae are also part of the section.
To the town and cultural history medieval surface finds from Oldesloe, documents about the salt-mine, items from the Oldesloer craftsman guilds, certificates and views of the town are shown.
