Reinbek - The gate to the Sachsen-forest

attracts many visitors because of close-by Hamburg. The town has direct motorway connections (A1) between Hamburg and Lübeck resp. the (A 24) between Hamburg and Berlin. Reinbek is also connected to the Hamburger tram-net. The Sachsen-forest with its 7.000-hectare is North-Germany's biggest inter-connected wooded area. It reaches with its branches into the city area. The nature reserve Bille valley forms in the south and east a natural border with its water, meadows and great trees.

The Reinbeker palace
directly situated at the mill lake is of course well known as the event place for the Schleswig-Holstein Music-Festivals. It is further an event centre for exhibitions, festivals and concerts.

On the other side the visitor can find the Museum Rade. Here one can admire pictures and sculptures from all over the world especially from Asia and Africa.
